The financial assistance program is a comprehensive program that encourages needy families to become self-sufficient by offering financial aid, rental assistance, vehicles, and access to resources like driver’s ed. This program currently serves more than 15 families per month. The process to become a client of Al-Misbaah’s program is a lengthy one -- we first conduct a review of the application and ensure that it’s complete. Afterwards, we conduct a home evaluation where we can gauge how much physical assistance the family needs, i.e. furniture, household items. Finally, we return to the table alongside our colleagues and come up with a several-month long plan for assistance, usually with conditions for the family to seek jobs or education. Alhamdulillah, this program has been able to assist families out of homelessness and transitionary housing into more permanent, long-term housing.

Food Assistance
Al-Misbaah teamed up with the Sacramento Food Bank to help serve the community at our bi-weekly distributions. Every 1st Saturday of every month we gather at the Al-Misbaah warehouse with the help of volunteers to assemble roughly 1000 boxes with non-perishable food. We also have two refrigerators and freezers at the Al-Misbaah warehouse which we use to store perishable goods to accompany the boxes during these distributions. These non-perishables are delivered fresh with the help of our reefer trucks. The distributions are held at Masjid Annur every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
Come to Masjid Annur (6990 65th Street) every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month between 10am-12pm. You will need to enter through the Sun City Plaza.
